Salary: $64,000 - $68,000

Work Summary:
Working with others, creates, implements, and evaluates Trust education programs for young people, families, adults, educators and other audiences. Oversees operation of Trust library reading room and archives.
Duties:
- Sets goals for educational programming and provides oversight for the development, and management of new and existing programs for all audiences. Advances the Trust’s local, national, and international education objectives.
- Oversees the development of high-quality educational tools. Develops and manages web and mobile applications in an education context. Embraces and understands the application of new hardware and software for learning. Works collaboratively with other departments to implement new online content to fulfill the Trust’s potential for online educational initiatives.
- Ensures effective operation of the Trust library reading room and archive as beneficial educational resources.
- Develops educational initiatives that meet the mission and goals of the Trust while serving audience needs and multiple learning styles. Identifies and pursues partnerships with schools and other organizations to provide support for educational objectives.
- Works collaboratively with development staff to identify potential educational projects for grant support. Participates in grant writing, and creation of project budgets. Prepares reports and other documentation as required in collaboration with the development and finance staff.
- Works collaboratively with Trust communications staff to build awareness of Trust’s educational mission and programs.
- Prepares evaluation summaries of education programs’ annual outcomes.
- Researches and prepares occasional public presentations.
- Prepares and monitors yearly departmental budget. Monitors expenditures and cash flow.
- As a team member of the Trust, demonstrates positive interpersonal skills that promote open communication, friendliness, respect for all positions, maintenance of confidentiality and success of the organization.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree and MA/MS degree required in Art History, Architectural History, Cultural History, Visual Arts, Architecture, or Education. Record of administrative experience. Minimum of eight years in museum education or educational / academic/arts / architectural field. Familiarity with virtual learning and grantmaking. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with sensitivity to diverse cultures. Adaptable and able to work in a creative environment as part of a team. Background should demonstrate successful program development and implementation, and strong writing, and presentation skills.
